FAQs

Questions about ordering, delivery and returns

Everything about buying from us: how delivery works, how to pay, and what happens if something isn't right.

Delivery & orders

How much is delivery?

Free to UK mainland on every order, with no minimum spend. The charge is per order, not per tyre, so four tyres cost the same to deliver as one.

A surcharge applies to postcodes that cost considerably more to reach:

  • £10Northern Ireland, all BT postcodes
  • £10Isle of Wight, PO30 to PO41
  • £15Scottish Highlands and Islands
  • £15Isles of Scilly, TR21 to TR25

All charges include VAT and are shown at checkout before you pay. Check your own postcode on our delivery page.

How quickly will I get my tyres?

Order before 1pm Monday to Friday and we dispatch the same day for next working day delivery to UK mainland. Orders after 1pm dispatch the next working day.

We don't dispatch at weekends or on bank holidays, so an order placed Saturday afternoon dispatches Monday and arrives Tuesday.

Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands and the Isles of Scilly take two to three working days from dispatch.

Do you deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland or the Highlands?

Yes, we deliver to every UK postcode.

Mainland Scotland is treated exactly like the rest of the mainland: free, next working day. That includes Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen city, Perth, Paisley and Ayrshire.

The Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly carry a charge and take two to three working days, because they travel on a different courier service.

How do I track my order?

We email you a tracking link as soon as the courier collects your order. The same link is in your account under the order. You'll usually get a tighter delivery window on the morning itself.

Can you deliver straight to my fitter?

Yes, and plenty of customers do. Use the fitter's address as the delivery address at checkout, and put "FAO" plus your name in the delivery instructions so they know who the tyres belong to.

If you've booked a fitting appointment, set it for the day after expected delivery to be safe.

What if I'm not home when delivery arrives?

The courier will normally try again the next working day, leave the tyres with a neighbour if you've authorised it, or hold them at the local depot for collection. Your tracking link shows which and lets you rebook.

Payments

How can I pay?

All major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and American Express, plus PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna. Every option appears at checkout, and you don't need an account to buy.

How does Klarna work?

Klarna lets you spread the cost at no extra charge, subject to approval:

  • Pay in 3. Three equal interest free instalments taken automatically over 60 days.
  • Pay in 30 days. Nothing today, full amount within 30 days, interest free.

Klarna runs a soft credit check that doesn't affect your credit score. Missing payments may affect your ability to use Klarna in future.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments, PayPal or Klarna depending on what you pick. All are PCI-DSS compliant and use industry standard encryption. We never see or store your full card details.

Returns & warranty

Can I return tyres if I change my mind?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to return unfitted, unused tyres for a full refund, well beyond the 14 days required under distance selling rules.

Tyres need to be in original resaleable condition: unmounted, unmarked, ideally in their original packaging. Contact us first and we'll arrange a collection or send a return label.

What if I've ordered the wrong size?

As long as they're unfitted and in original condition, return them within 30 days for a refund or exchange. Tell us as soon as you spot it, particularly if a fitting is already booked.

What if my tyres arrive damaged?

If the packaging is visibly damaged, refuse the parcel and the courier returns it to us. If you spot damage after accepting delivery, send us photos of the tyres and the packaging within 48 hours and we'll replace them at no cost.

Are the tyres covered by warranty?

Every tyre is brand new and carries the manufacturer's standard warranty, typically five years from the date of manufacture in the DOT code, against defects in materials and workmanship.

It doesn't cover normal wear, impact damage from kerbs, potholes or debris, incorrect pressure, alignment problems or improper fitting. If you think there's a manufacturing defect, send us photos and we'll handle the claim.

What if a tyre fails on the road?

Most on road damage, meaning kerbing, potholes, debris and blowouts from road hazards, isn't a manufacturing defect and isn't covered by the manufacturer warranty. It's usually a motor insurance matter, so check with your insurer first.

Some manufacturers sell optional road hazard cover. Ask us before you buy if you want it for a particular brand.

Fitting

Do you fit tyres?

Coming soon

We're building the FastFit Network, a UK wide network of partner garages and mobile fitters. Once it launches you'll be able to pick a garage at checkout and have your tyres sent straight there, or book a fitter to come to you.

It isn't live yet. For now we deliver free to your door, or directly to any local fitter you choose, on the usual next working day service.

Can I get my tyres fitted at home?

Coming soon

Mobile fitting will be part of the FastFit Network when it launches, letting you book a fitter to come to your home or workplace.

Until then, we'll deliver to your door and you're welcome to use any local mobile fitting service. Most will fit tyres you've supplied yourself.

How should I look after my new tyres?
  • Check pressure monthly when the tyres are cold, using the figure in your handbook or on the fuel flap placard.
  • Rotate them every 5,000 to 8,000 miles, especially on front wheel drive cars where the fronts wear faster.
  • Get the alignment checked when you fit new tyres, and again if the car pulls or wears unevenly. Misalignment ruins new tyres in weeks.
  • Avoid harsh braking and kerbing. Both shorten tyre life and can damage sidewalls invisibly.
How long should a new tyre last?

It depends on the tyre, the car and how it's driven. As a rough guide:

  • A touring tyre on a family car driven sensibly: 25,000 to 40,000 miles.
  • A performance tyre on a sportier car: 15,000 to 25,000 miles.
  • Fronts on a front wheel drive car wear roughly twice as fast as rears.

On a low mileage car, most tyres hit the 10 year age limit long before that, so age rather than tread is what triggers replacement.
