The Brand

Bridgestone is a Japanese manufacturer founded by Shojiro Ishibashi, whose surname translates as 'stone bridge', the source of the company name. It produces tyres for passenger cars, SUVs, commercial vehicles, motorcycles and aircraft, alongside diversified rubber products, and in 1988 acquired Firestone. A premium marque suited to drivers seeking established quality and a broad range.

The Pattern
Battlax Bias Touring BT46 Rear

Bias-ply rear touring tyre for classic and modern sport-touring bikes, with strong wet and dry grip.

The Battlax BT46 rear is the bias-ply successor to the long-serving BT45, aimed at vintage sport and touring motorcycles as well as neo-retro machines. Its adapted silica single compound is tuned to balance grip, feel and tread life, while Bridgestone's RC Polymer construction lifts wet performance without giving up the dry handling and mileage the BT45 was known for. It suits everyday road use, longer touring trips and winding roads, holding composure under braking and acceleration.

  • Bias-ply construction for vintage sport and touring bikes
  • Adapted silica single compound tuned for grip and wear
  • RC Polymer construction for improved wet performance
  • Successor to the long-serving BT45 with retained dry handling
  • Stable, confidence-inspiring feel on road and lighter surfaces
Best for Vintage sport, touring and neo-retro bikes ridden on road and longer trips
