Firestone is one of the oldest names in the industry, established in Ohio in 1900 by Harvey Firestone and owned by Bridgestone since 1988. Known for its long motorsport heritage, particularly at the Indianapolis 500, the brand offers all-season, highway and all-terrain tyres. It suits drivers wanting a recognised marque at a keener price than premium rivals.
A light commercial tyre built for long mileage and low fuel use, electric vans included.
The Vanhawk 3 is Firestone's light commercial vehicle tyre, taking over from the Vanhawk 2 for operators who want long tread life and low running costs. It is the first Vanhawk to use ENLITEN construction, pairing a deeper tread with a reworked compound that Firestone links to 13 per cent more mileage and 10 per cent lower rolling resistance than the previous generation. Revised grooves and sipes clear standing water for shorter wet stops, and it suits electric vans as well as diesel and petrol models.
- ENLITEN construction used in the Vanhawk range for the first time
- Deeper tread and hard-wearing compound for extra mileage
- Lower rolling resistance to help fuel and energy use
- Groove and sipe layout aids water clearance and wet braking
- Suitable for electric and combustion-engined vans
