Sumitomo Rubber developed the e. Sport Maxx for electric and hybrid cars, where limiting energy loss matters as much as handling. A new tread rubber compound lowers rolling resistance to help protect driving range, while the tread pitch arrangement has been tuned to keep road noise down. Sidewall branding uses the Nano Black finish for a deeper black look, and the pattern has been chosen as factory-fit equipment on the Toyota Crown Sedan and the electric C-HR+.
